Terms and Conditions

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BECAUSE YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IS SUBJECT TO THEM.

These terms and conditions apply to all transactions on the Cornstore web site. You should read through them carefully before placing your order. We may change these terms from time to time without notice to you and any changes will apply to subsequent orders received.      

1. ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

Please note that all photographs and illustrations are representative only. The limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may mean a slight variation. Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions are accurate.
All measurements are approximate, and specifications may change. Please ensure that the measurements and dimensions of the goods you have ordered will fit into your home. All orders are subject to availability.        

2. PRICING

The price you pay is the price displayed on our website at the time we receive your order, and will be clearly stated on your order confirmation, with the following exception. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled, and will give you a full refund. Prices of goods displayed and ordered through the website may differ from prices in store.

3. PAYMENT

All prices shown are in cash prices in pound sterling (£), and inclusive of VAT, and accurate at the time of publication.
Online orders must be paid for by credit/debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Electron, Solo, JCB and Switch. Card details are checked and verified by a third party and goods are despatched once authorisation has been obtained. All goods will remain the property of the Cornstore until paid for in full.

4. GIFT VOUCHERS 

You can buy gift vouchers online and in our store. They are valid up to twelve months, from the date of issue, and can be despatched to any UK postcode for a small charge.

Once payment for your order has been authorised online or in our store, your voucher/s will be dispatched by recorded delivery (signed for) and sent to the delivery address, that you confirmed in your order.

You can also purchase vouchers over the phone, by calling the Cornstore on 01646-684290, Monday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm.
If you have to return goods you've purchased online using gift vouchers, then in most instances we will credit you against further purchases on thecornstore.com. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Using Vouchers online

You will be notified to insert your unique voucher code, when finalising your payment online, and the appropriate voucher value will then be deducted from your order. If there is any balance to pay, you can use a debit or credit card in the usual way.
Unused balances on vouchers can be redeemed up to 12 months from the original date of issue. Gift vouchers cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.

5. ORDERING PROCESS

On our website, your order will be placed when you press the "confirm order" button at the end of the checkout process. You are able to correct errors on your order up until this point. We will obtain authorisation on your card before your order can be accepted.  A contract is formed between The Cornstore and you, when you confirm your order.

If you have supplied us with a valid email address, we will notify you by email as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order. This is not an order acceptance, which will take place on the despatch to you of the goods.

Amending an order

Once your order is accepted, please be aware that any changes, may alter the delivery time and the price you were originally quoted. If you wish to change an order prior to delivery of the goods, please contact us immediately on 01646-684290 or email info@thecornstore.com

Cancelling an order

If you order online or by phone, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 7 days of order. We will refund (within 30 days) all monies paid by you to us, provided you cancel the contract within the required time.
If you cancel after 7 days we will do our best to cancel your order with our supplier. However, if the goods are in stock, in transit or cannot be cancelled with our supplier, we will retain a deposit to cover our costs.
If the goods have not been dispatched, and our supplier will accept cancellation, we will refund your payment in full. If we can place some of your goods with other customers we will refund a portion of the deposit as appropriate.
We reserve the right to accept or reject orders.

6. DELIVERY POLICY 

Currently, we do not deliver outside mainland United Kingdom or to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland, Scottish Islands or BFPO addresses.
Delivery applies to UK Mainland addresses only. Most deliveries can be made within 7 working days but allow up to 28 days. If an item is not currently in stock, you will be advised when you place your order or soon after.
A signature will be required to acknowledge delivery of your order. This signature will be proof that you or the person to whom the order was addressed has received the order. Ownership of the items in your order will pass to you on delivery (assuming payment in full has been made in favour of The Cornstore). If there is any visible damage to the carton on delivery it must be signed for as damaged.
Please ensure that any goods you have ordered, have been measured correctly, and will fit into your home, and through any obstructions such as gates or doorways. The delivery driver is contracted to deliver goods to your property, but is not insured to take the goods inside. Please arrange help to move your goods safely indoors, and bear in mind some items can weigh over 95Kgs.
Occasionally, the availability of your goods may be delayed for reasons beyond our control so all delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. We will, however, make every effort to keep you informed of any such delays.

Delivery Charges       

In mainland UK delivery charges are : large furniture items £45.00 per pallet, all other items  are between £5 and £45 delivered, and are individually assessed by weight and volume.  Our delivery charges are FREE within Pembrokeshire. 

Gift vouchers incur a £3.00 delivery charge, and sent recorded delivery/signed for. Delivery on a Saturday will incur an extra charge. Charges will be detailed at point of order.

Store Collections 

Delivery to our store is free. Collections can be made (with prior confirmation of your time of arrival), between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, with the exception of Bank Holidays Mondays when we are open from 11am to 4pm. We are closed on Sundays.                                                          
Please bring two forms of personal identification e.g. driving license or utility bill and your order confirmation details.  We regret that we cannot accept liability for damage to goods or vehicles of customers who choose to collect thier items.                                                                

7. RETURNS POLICY    

If you are not happy with the goods that you have chosen, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your purchases, and provided they are returned in their original unused condition and undamaged packaging we will give you a full refund.    
When returning any goods it is your responsibility to arrange, and pay for, the return of the goods to us. If you fail to return the goods and we have to arrange for the goods to be collected from you, the cost of this will be charged to you and may be deducted from any refund to you. Please note we do not offer a free returns/collection service, and we cannot refund any returned delivery costs, or original delivery charges.
We cannot accept responsibility for returned goods lost in transit so we strongly recommend that you send the goods by recorded delivery or obtain some other proof of posting. We make every effort to ensure that goods arrive in a good condition.
You may return items to us within 28 days of receipt (with a copy of the original receipt /delivery note) and details of our authorisation to do so. Refunds will only be processed once the items have been returned. All returns must be made within 28 days.
Your statutory rights are unaffected.

If the goods are not regular stock items, but special customer orders, we will not be able to accept returns.  No refunds or exchanges can be given on items made to your specification, such as sofas, unless there is a manufacturing defect or the goods are not as ordered.
Damages must be notified to us, within 48 hours without exception, and confirmed in writing within 7 days. We reserve the right to inspect the damaged goods and packaging at your property, if we deem it necessary to do so.
In the event of goods being faulty or damaged, please contact us on 01646-684290 or by email toinfo@thecornstore.com, within 48 hours following receipt of the goods.  

Your legal rights are not affected.          

8. LIMITATIONS ON OUR LIABILITY - TERMS OF USE

For the avoidance of doubt, except as expressly provided in these conditions, our entire liability under or in connection with any contract for any goods to which these terms and conditions apply shall not exceed the price of the goods.

The limitations of liability in these terms and conditions shall apply equally for the benefit of us and any of our associated companies as if references to us included references to each such associated company. 

9. OUR WEBSITE   

If you are purchasing goods via our website, we would draw your attention to our Terms of  Use and Privacy Policy and any other legal notices on this website relating to your use of this site, all of which are deemed to be incorporated into these terms and conditions.

10. OTHER LEGAL NOTICES

We will not file the details of your specific contract. Accordingly, we recommend you keep a note of these contract details with a copy of the terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change the terms & conditions, and you should refer to them each time you order goods from us.
We may assign, transfer or sub contract any of our rights or obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party. You may not transfer, assign or sub-contract any of your rights or obligations under these terms and conditions, or any related order for goods, to any third party unless previously agreed by us in writing.

11. JURISDICTION

The products and services offered on the Cornstore web site are sold for use within the United Kingdom. Use of this web site shall be governed by English Law and will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. These terms and conditions do not affect your legal rights. 

12. COMPLAINTS

We welcome and learn from complaints. We aim to deal with complaints speedily and sympathetically. All complaints are investigated and replied to.
